About PGA National - Fazio Course
**** Please note, you must be a guest at the PGA National Resort to play the PGA National Golf Courses. **** The Fazio Course was the first course opened for play at PGA National Resort on March 4, 1980. The course was originally named in honor of Walter Hagen, known affectionately as "The Haig." In designing the Fazio Course, Tom and George Fazio's goal was to create an outstanding golf experience that would be playable for all types of golfers. By designing a course with no crossing water hazards, the Fazios have eliminated a major obstacle for the high handicap golfer. Along with the course's new name comes a host of renovations that include larger greens, new and enlarged tees as well as regrassed fairways.
